Q: How/Where do you get your books? Do you buy them or go to the library? Is there a certain website you use like paperbackswap?
A: I buy A LOT of books! Usually from Amazon (because I really love free 2 day shipping. But lately I've been going to bookstores too (Books-a-Million & B&N!) But in general, books are cheaper online- and I'm a poor college kid. So, there you go.
Also, I try to go to the library. I have SEVERAL books checked out from there- BUT they tend not to get high priority. (Which seems strange I know.)
I don't use any kind of paperback swap. Maybe I should with how much money I spend on them!

I am an Amazon JUNKIE!!! LOL

I’m seeing a pattern of book acquisition here. After all, there are just so many places to get books and so many different ways to read them.
ReplyDeleteIt’s hard to beat the library for price and selection but it’s even harder to beat the convenience of browsing BN or Amazon from a Nook or Kindle, hitting a button and reading the book you picked in about sixty seconds.
As usual, my answer to this week’s Book Blogger Hop question is all over the map. Hop on over and read my multipart answer – http://www.howardsherman.net

I work and go to school too. That takes most of my time. I took time off school during the summer, though. It's been nice.
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly I don't buy that many books from Amazon. A good percent of my books are still in MM format and Amazon never discounts those. Borders does for me, plus there's coupons and my rewards membership and free shipping. Borders online has become my new addiction. If I'm not shopping online it's because I'm at the store! Thank goodness my closest store stayed off the closing list!

SHOPPING for books to read...when not reading is a great answer! i know it takes me a long time to even pick out a book when i'm at the library and/or bookstore. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteA girl after my own heart! I also love shopping... for books and everything else and am a big fan of Bones! Can't wait to see where it goes this season!
ReplyDeleteHopping through. I spend too much time shopping for books too. Browsing through B&N when I could be reading.
